Important Achievements of Clinical Trials

The aim of Project ImpACT is to identify and develop a comprehensive description of the most important randomized controlled trials (RCTs) performed in the fields of medicine and public health since 1948.

We are defining important broadly. ImpACT Trials are RCTs that have had substantive/significant/important impact on the:

  • practice of medicine or public health
  • methods of designing, conducting or analyzing trials
  • course of subsequent research
  • understanding of pathophysiology and biology
  • regulations, law or policy
  • ethical understanding and conduct of trials

Contribute to the project by nominating a trial.
