ImpACT trial database under development
Trials are categorized according to their status within our review process.
You can choose to see any combination of trials that have been nominated as
ImpACT trials, and those that have been selected.
Nominated trial: Trial has been nominated for consideration by an expert in
the field, through open web nomination, or through background research by a
member of the ImpACT staff. Some of these trials have detailed information
available (see Profiled trials), but information on others may be as yet quite
incomplete, not vetted by ImpACT staff. All nominated trials are eventually
examined by the ImpACT team to see if they merit profiling.
Profiled trial: These are trials for which we have developed
a 3-5 page structured summary profile of the trial, available for download. "Draft" profiles
are those that have not yet been peer-reviewed. New Profiles were added
9/5/2008.

Selected "ImpACT" trial: These are trials that
have been selected by Project ImpACT staff, in consultation with members of
the Advisory Board and
external experts, to be among the most important RCTs in a particular discipline.
Depending on the size of a discipline and number of RCTs conducted, between
3-15 trials per discipline can currently be selected as "ImpACT" trials.
Longer and more in-depth descriptions of these trials are
currently in development, to be published in book form.
